This USATF sanctioned race will be 13.1 miles in length beginning and ending at Chestnut Mountain Resort, 8770 W. Chestnut Rd., Galena, IL 61036. The race begins by heading east on Chestnut Rd., takes a short jog north on Blanding Rd., turns east again onto Blackjack Rd., approaches the halfway point when going west on Beaty Hallow Rd., takes a sharp right to go north on Blanding Rd., merges back onto Blackroad Rd., and finishes by a short run on Sand Hill Rd. plus an out-and-back on River Rd. before it concludes along the Mississippi River at the base of Chestnut Mountain. Take the chairilift back to the top of the resort to enjoy the post race party!
