To Nixon Beach, Apple Canyon Lake from Galena:
From the intersection of N. Main St. and Meeker St. in Galena turn right onto Stagecoach Trail. Drive east for approximately 12 miles. Turn right onto Pea Ridge Road. Pea Ridge Road will turn into W. Apple Canyon Road. Turn left onto S. Apple Canyon Road. Turn left onto Eisenhower Drive. Nixon Beach is at the end of Eisenhower Drive.

To Nixon Beach, Apple Canyon Lake from Chicago:
Take I-90/94 west to Rockford. Take US Rte. 20 west from Rockford to the village of Woodbine. In Woodbine, turn right onto Scout Camp Road. Turn left onto East Lake Road No. 3. Turn left onto S. Apple Canyon Road. Turn right onto Eisenhower Drive. Nixon Beach is at the end of Eisenhower Drive.

To Galena from Nixon Beach, Apple Canyon Lake:
From Eisenhower Drive, turn right onto S. Apple Canyon Road. Turn right onto W. Apple Canyon Road. At the Y in the road stay to the left, which will be Pea Ridge Road. Stay on Pea Ridge Road until it intersects with Stagecoach Trail. Turn left onto Stagecoach Trail. Travel approximately 12 miles and Stagecoach Trail will pass Recreation Park (site of finish line).

To Recreation Park (To drop gear only):
Drive north on Main Street in Galena and turn right onto Meeker. Take the left curve in the road after the bridge. Drive 1/2 mile and Recreation Park is on the right.

Event Day Routes

To Galena from Nixon Beach, Apple Canyon Lake (Route to be used during the event):
From Eisenhower Drive turn left onto S. Apple Canyon Road. S. Apple Canyon Road will turn into E. Apple Canyon Road. Turn right onto E. Lake Road No. 3. Turn right onto Scout Camp Road. At the village of Woodbine, turn right onto US Rte. 20 and travel West through Elizabeth and then to Galena. Park in the remote parking lot and take a free shuttle to Recreation Park.

Stagecoach Trail Detour (Route to be used during the event from 8:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m.):
All through traffic on Stagecoach Trail (between N. Main Street in Galena and the Elizabeth-Scales Mound Road intersection) will detour on Broadway Ave., Dewey Ave., Council Hill Rd., Jewell Ln., W. Culvert Rd., and Elizabeth-Scales Mound Road.
